The days you’d give anything to have back.
where the name came from
Roon is named after my daughter, Rooney.
When she was four, she drew a little dinosaur. Wild spikes down its back, a lopsided smile, arms that don’t quite reach anything. It’s the logo you’ve been looking at this entire time. I have it tattooed on me.

She drew this at four years old. We didn’t redraw it, clean it up, or hand it to a designer. It’s hers, exactly as she made it — and it’s the whole company’s identity.
Rooney has a rare autoimmune disease. Her own immune system attacks her muscles. There’s no cure. She has monthly infusions, chemotherapy, and steroids — a schedule that would flatten most adults, and she’s a kid.
She also lives more in a week than most people manage in a year.
Watching her taught me something I wish I’d learned a gentler way: how fast this goes, and how much of it slips past while you’re just trying to get through the day. The days you’d give anything to have back are almost never the ones you thought to photograph.
That’s Roon. It exists for her first, and then for anyone who has ever realized, too late, what they’d stopped paying attention to. Whether you’re keeping this for a newborn, a parent who won’t be here forever, or for yourself — the reason is the same.
Roon is in private beta. We’re starting with a small group of founding families. If this story sounds like yours, we’d be glad to have you in it.
— Jeff, Rooney’s dad
We're building this with a small group of families first.
Roon isn't open to everyone yet. We're letting in a limited first group — people who'll help shape it, get in at founding pricing, and keep that price for as long as they stay. Add your email and we'll be in touch as spots open.
You're on the list.
We'll email you the moment a spot opens. Thank you for wanting this to exist.
